About The Aretha

The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre is a 6,000-capacity waterfront concert venue located on the Detroit River at 2600 Atwater Street. Formerly known as Chene Park Amphitheatre, the venue was renamed in 2019 in honor of Detroit music icon Aretha Franklin.

 

​A City of Detroit Recreation Department facility, The Aretha is managed and operated by The Right Productions, Inc. The venue hosts major touring artists, Wednesday Jazzy Nights, community programming, private events, and special experiences throughout the season.

About The Right Productions

Since 2004, The Right Productions, Inc. has managed and operated The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre under contract with the City of Detroit. Led by Shahida Mausi, The Right Productions produces live entertainment, curated events, and experiential activations in Detroit and beyond.
